Intake Procedures

Court Approved Domestic Violence Treatment Provider

When a client is referred to A New Path by a probation or parole officer, Department of Social Services, Mental Health or Substance Abuse Specialist, friend of family member, self -referral, court ordered by a judge or completely voluntary, they are required to set up an intake appointment.

Intake appointments can be made by calling 208-321-7456 or stopping by our Boise location at 8950 W Emerald Street, Suite 156 (corner of Emerald and Maple Grove). Intake appointments usually take an hour. Three documents are required for an intake appointment:

  • Domestic Violence Assessment
  • Copy of  the Incident (police report)
  • Court Order or Referral to Treatment

During the intake process a review will be done with the client, of  the documents provided, all necessary paperwork completed, and a class schedule will be worked out.

Once the client has completed the intake process they are then able to attend classes. Classes usually begin within one week after the intake appointment. Classes are two hours, once a week for 26-52 weeks. Programs include MRT-DV and Emerge.
